Changing a tire
1. Change a tire on your family car under the supervision of one of your parents. If your not sure how to do it read your vehicles owners manual.Write a type 3 writeup. FCA's: 1.Describe the steps you used in changing your tire. 2.Describe the safety components involved in changing a tire.3. Correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Post by Monday 7/30
If you get a flat tire then these are the steps that you use:
- Find a safe place to pull over
- put your hazard lights on
- Put your car in park
- Put the emergency brake on
- Place the jack (where your owners manual tells you)
- Lift the jack high enough so that the bottom of the tire is just off the ground
- loosen lugnuts
- Then take them off
- Pull the tire off (put where spair tire was)
- Take your spair tire out
- Set the spair tire on
- Set lugnuts and tighten but not really hard
- Let the jack down
- Tighten the lugnuts all the way
- Put materials back in trunk
- Then your ready to go
- Signal and pull out
You should have a little car jack in your trunk if you get a spair so you can just get out and use those steps so you dont have to call someone or a service place and wait for them to get there. Its a lot faster.
