Legal stop- If you have a red light still or flashing. That means you have to stop. First you stop at the stop line, then the crosswalk, then the sidewalk, then the edge of the road, then you can go.

Safety Stop- Unregulated intersection, theres no stop sign, or red light. You stop for your own safety and others own safety. Yeild and then go when its safe.

Staggered Stop- You have to stop, then yeild to traffic, then when its all clear and you have a good gap to go into traffic then you can move into the gap of traffic.

Point of no return- is the point beyond which you can no longer stop safely without entering the intersection.
