1. List 8 areas where it is illegal to pass another vehicle and give a reason why you think it is unsafe to pass in these areas. This is a type 2 writing.

1. On a hill- It is not safe to pass on a hill because you cant see what is on the other side and that could cause a accident.
2. On a curve- It's like a hill because you cant see what is around the corner, and if theres a car coming then you caould hit them head on.
3. At in intersection- It's not safe to pass at in intersection because you see a lot of police shows and things of people passing at in intersection and if theres a car or a truck or anything then there could come from the middle of no where and hit you on the side.
4. At a rail road crossing- I think that this is the worsed place anyone could pass because if you go to pass someone and a train is coming but you think you have enough time, well you really dont trains are going faster then you think, and you could get hit by a train, and theres not really anyway that you could live through that.
5. Tunnels- because something could be coming, and you dont have enough time to pass the right way.
6. Bridges- Because if your going to pass and then you see another car coming you would have to swerve and you would go off the bridge, or hit the other car.
7. No passing zones- Because if its a no passing zone then there telling you that it is really unsafe to pass so if you do pass on a no passsing zone and a cop sees you then you will get a ticket.
8. On coming traffic is present- Thats kind of commen sence but if theres a car that you think is really far ahead and you think that you have time to pass you dont, well maybe you do but you wont be able to pass safely and you have a good chance of getting hit head on by the other car.

2. Using the power point 9.02 I would like you to explain the time and space needs for passing another vehicle. You are traveling at 60 mph and the car you are about to pass is going 40 mph. you will need to multiply each speed by 1.5 in order to find the feet per second that each car is traveling. Please explain how long it will take you to pass the vehicle, the number of feet that you will travel in each of the three parts of the passing maneuver. the total feet and time it will take, and compare that to the length of a football field which is 300 feet long. This is a type 2 writing. Remember to use the 9.02 power point to find the information you will need to solve the question.

If your going 60mph then that means your traveling 90 feet per second, If the car your passing is going 40mph then there traveling at 60 feet per second. It will take 10 seconds to pass the other car. I will be traveling 90 feet per second, it will take 15 seconds to pass the car, and it will be the lengh of 3 football fields.

Traffic flagger lodged for alcohol detoxPublished: Wednesday, July 25, 2007Free Press Staff ReportWARREN -- A traffic flagger working at a bridge construction project in Warren was arrested Tuesday morning and charged with reckless endangerment after Vermont State Police said they found him "extremely intoxicated" and asleep in a vehicle near the work site. John Patrick Green, 42, of Waterbury was taken into custody and lodged at an alcohol detoxification unit at the Dale Correctional Facility following the incident, according to police. The police found Green in his car while responding to a report that a "suspicious man" had been seen wandering near residences in Warren village.Witnesses claimed Green had been directing vehicles over a one-lane bridge on Brook Road and around construction equipment at the work site before the arrival of the police, a Vermont State Police news release said.

I think this is totally not right at all. If you have a good job like that then you dont need to drink nad if your going to drink then they can do it when they get out of work. There is no reason to drink before or during your job. There just a flagger you just have to stand there and flip a sign over and it doesn't seem like a big deal but it really is what if this guy that was drunk at work had the sign the wrong way and it said slow, there could be a family that went and hit someone head on becasue this guy wasn't paying attention and he was drunk.

MONTPELIER, Vt. -- Passengers on a May 5 bus from Boston to Montreal may have been exposed to tuberculosis, health officials in Vermont and Massachusetts said Tuesday.
At least some people on the Vermont Transit Co. trip were being notified that another passenger on the bus may have had the disease.
"We had an alert from the Boston, Massachusetts, Department of Health," said Chris Andreasson, general manager of Vermont Transit Co. Inc. "The only concern they had was for somebody that sat next to passenger for a long period of time."

I think that this is a really bad subject because if people have things like this then if they know they shouldn't go in places like the bus, so things dont happen like this. I think that this is really sad because a lot of the people on the bus dont deserve to get this and now they have to go and get shots and things like that just because they had to ride the bus to get somewhere they had to be.

MANCHESTER, N.H. -- Police arrested a 15-year-old boy in Manchester after a group of children complained that he waved a gun at them.
The teenager was arrested Monday and charged with reckless conduct, falsifying evidence, resisting arrest and tobacco possession. Police said they were not able to find a gun immediately.

I think this kid should get in trouble because no matter how mad you are you should never put a gun fake or not to anyone. If I was the childs parents then they would be grounded for a really long time. This is why I dont think that video games should have all of the killing and shoting it has these days. It makes kids so they think they can kill people or shoot people and thats not right at all.
