Crash cd

1. Watch the " Crash Cd ". Type 3 writing. FCA's: 1. give a complete summary of the four sites you visit in the cd( lawyer, police, doctor, school), 2.Tell who you turned out to be in the cd, 3.Give your view on the problems related to drinking/drugs and driving. Lawyer- What I got from the lawyer was, there was 5 teenagers involved in the crash, The woman that hit the teenagers (Melissa) ran a red light, 4 teen girls died in the crash. The woman that hit them has had two previous DUI charges, and she is going to jail for a minimum of 60 if she gets charged for everything. The defense for Melissa said that they didn't see signs of her being drunk, and blood tests couldn't show anything because they didn't refrigerate them so they couldn't tell anything. The prosecution said she was drunk, and from the time of 12:00 pm and 2:50pm she already had 5 drinks. She was going 60mph when she hit the teens. Melissa also lied to police and tried to tell them that she wasn't drunk but her blood alchol level was .21 to .28, she got charged with 2nd degree murder.

School- There was a girl on a bike that got hit, she wasn't even in the car and now shes in the hospital, she had brain damage but she is getting released from the hospital soon. I just dont get how there was a biker that got hit because there was a drunk driver that hit a bunch of teens when they were leaving the beach and then they talked about a biker. So someone wasn't really in the case i think, that there was a few different stories.

Police- officer Hernandez, he was the first officer on the site. He said that there were two people that were laying on the ground and so wasn't the biker. He was 3 cars back and watched the whole thing happen and called in to have more officers come adn help him. They said that they didn't even know about one girl that they found when they got 2 of the 3 that were left in the car out. She was all tangled in the parts of the car, and she died on impact.

Doctor- The doctor said that they were not wearing seatbelts and if you wear a seatbelt its a higher chance you wont get hurt by 60%. They might have been smoking marijuana. The biker had a little memorie loss, the doctor said that she had to of hit her head off of something to cause the memorie loss. He also said that the driver was driving over the legal limit and she shouldn't have been driving. They all would of had a better chance of surviving if they had there seatbelts on, and were not driving while drinking and smoking.

I think that someone didn't hit the teens I think that there were 5 teens in a car that were drinking and smoking and they were going or soming from a party and when they ran the red light and turned that corner really fast the girl on the bike was there and ended up getting hit by the drunk driver. I was the biker in the cd. I think that people should not drink and drive at all I think that it is the worst thing that people can do and a lot of people think that there good drivers, and they maybe but you could be doing everything right and then from the middle of no where a person that is drinking and smoking while driving could hit you and maybe even kill you. It wouldn't be your fault and you didn't do anything wrong but its the other people that decite to be stupid and not think or let other people that are not drinking drive them home.
