BOSTON -- Officials are investigating a crash involving a school bus and a pickup truck in Haverhill.The crash happened on Groveland Street near Boardman Street at about 2:30 p.m. when a small school bus tried to avoid an oncoming pickup truck that crossed the median, a NewsCenter 5 photographer at the scene said.The driver and two students on the bus suffered minor injuries, but the two people in the truck were seriously injured. All five people were brought to Holy Family Hospital in Methuen.

It relates to what were learning about because we are learning about collisions that happen at intersections and this would relate. The truck was at fault, The bus tried to get out of the way but the truck was in the same lane. The bus driver was able to use the IPDE process because they identified a problem, they predicted that the truck was going to go in there path of travel, the bus driver decided that he/or she would try to swerve to avoid the truck, the bus driver executed and moved to the other side of the road. People think that they're good drivers but its not your driving it could be other peoples driving.

Raise Pike Tolls During Rush Hour?

	The state is considering a new plan that could have drivers paying more for a faster commute on the Mass Pike. The plan includes raising tolls during rush hour, meaning all commuters would have to pay a premium to drive the pike during peak hours and expanding express lanes to allow Fast Lane users to drive through at highway speeds. Tolls are a really bad spot and a high risk place to get hit. If they make more I think that it will be a lot better because if there's more lanes then cars can spread out so it takes less time to get through them. There will be less collisions, because they will have more room. One Dead, One Hospitalized After I-91 Crash POSTED: 3:11 pm EDT July 2, 2007 UPDATED: 4:27 pm EDT July 2, 2007 BRATTLEBORO, Vt. -- One person is dead and another was airlifted to a hospital after a car went into the median on Interstate 91 in Brattleboro and flipped onto its roof Monday.Authorities said the passenger was declared dead at the scene, which occurred on the Brattleboro-Dummerston town line.The driver of the car was taken by helicopter to the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H. This is related to what we are learning about because we are learning about crashes. I think that this is really scary and I hope that it wasn't the drivers fault. It sounds like the driver wasn't using the right skills. If they were using the right skills then they more then likely wouldn't have flipped the car unless they turned the wheel really fast while they were speeding.
